I have some good news! First I want to tell everyone that I have traded in my Giant Eagle job for one at Michaels crafts. I'll be working in the framing department, while it's still retail, it is closer in line with my degree and what I want to be doing. And the discount on crafting and costuming supplies will be wonderful in the days to come!
Which leads me to tell you about the new Titania and Oberon creations Jeremy and I are cooking up! I'll give you a taste, think emerald green and gold silks, leaves, white flowers, white woods and more!
I've ordered the base for my new costume and Jeremy ~
Nviermor has some wonderful ideas brewing as well to spice up and alter his wooden suit of armor. It always fascinates me how some costumes I know from the very start what I want and how I'm going to execute them, while other have to evolve from a very rough idea and grow in my head till I find what they are meant to be. My Wild Hunt is a great example of a half realized idea that is still growing. While my Ilea Underwing was the same from start to finish. This Summer Titania is an evolving concept that is almost to fruition. She started out as an idea Jer tossed my way of making a dryad.

[link] . Things were a bit on the hectic side while we tried to hash out what was able to be made in the time frame and what was practical to make. Remember we have to put this on in a parking lot and wander around outside all day in them...while drinking no less. So form and function have to go hand in hand.
But after a small mountain of concept sketches, some fabric hunting and then my friend Linda *
ADarkDezine and I decided we're going talk our other two friends ~

JozzyKane in to it, we're gonna be the four elements for this coming All Hallow's Eve. Linda took Water, I took Earth, Molly got Fire and Jozzy is Air. So now I decided my dryad needed to be more earthy and less tree-ish. Then it was more conceptualizing and bouncing ideas off Jeremy and so on. I finally hit on something that makes us happy and will work out for my Earth element as well. I'll keep all you lovely's up to date as I go. I'm debating on documenting the making of this one and putting together a big ol' "how I did it" when it's all said and done. Let me know what you think and if you'd like to see in-progress stuff or not.
